The Crafts Program at Yehudah Training Institute nurtures creative expression while building pathways to sustainable income. Students learn how to transform locally available materials into beautiful, functional items that reflect both cultural heritage and personal talent.
Why Crafts?
In rural Uganda, many young people—especially women—possess untapped creative abilities. Craft-making offers immediate opportunities to generate income through local markets, tourist sales, and cooperative business models. It also fosters pride, focus, and healing through the joy of making.
“In every handmade item lies a story of resilience, resourcefulness, and redemption.”
